An exciting new project for 2009-2010 is the Tippy Schwabe Grant, which will promote participation in CATESOL activities while M.A. and Ph.D. graduate students in the UC Davis Linguistics Department are studying for their degree. The Foundation expects this project to serve as a model for other institutions interested in promoting professional development for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. The application process will soon be on the CATESOL web site.
